| Bio: | Terminally indie and proud. Walk tall, my floppy-fringed brothers and sisters! I'm Chris, and I'm a huge music fan. You don't really need to know much more than that, as it sums me up pretty well. It's also predominantly what I prattle on about in my journal, all largely of the indie persausion (oh, who am I kidding? Almost entirely of the indie persausion). It's in my blood, and it's what I live for (sorry, that may sound trite, but it's bloomin' true, y'hear?). I'm always trying to find great new bands to become obsessed with, and I love going to gigs more than anything - that's my natural habitat. ;) I'm a Brighton boy from birth, and I love my hometown, it's such a cool place to be if you're into music, as you're spoilt for choice here in terms of bands playing live and great club nights. I'm generally an optimistic sorta chap - yes, I surprised even myself when I realised that - so while the inevitable trials may occur, you won't find me whining away too much in my journal (too much ;) ). Which must be a blessed relief for us all. And now, may I present to you, a few favourite bands in random order: Arcade Fire, luxembourg, iLiKETRAiNS, The Smiths, Hope Of The States, Beulah, The Long Blondes, Dead! Dead! Dead!, R.E.M., Radiohead, British Sea Power, The Libertines, Dresden Dolls, Pixies, Dead Disco, Sons & Daughters, Elbow, Maximo Park, The Pipettes, The Faint... ...and many more, as you can see below in my list of interests. Hope Of The States, British Sea Power and Arcade Fire are currently duelling for my affections and the title of my absolute favourites, though I'm completely in love with them all and won't be made to choose between them. (Brixton Academy 24/6/03), Arcade Fire (London Astoria 9/5/05), Radiohead (Earls Court 27/11/03), Hope Of The States (Brighton Zap 13/4/04), luxembourg (Brighton Freebutt 17/6/06), The Killers (Brighton Dome 2/2/05), Morrissey (Brighton Centre 17/12/04), British Sea Power (Brighton Freebutt 9/6/04), The Dresden Dolls (Kings Cross Scala 19/2/05), British Sea Power (London Electrowerkz 27/5/05), Hope Of The States (London Astoria 15/2/05), Elbow (Brighton Corn Exchange 29/9/03), Radiohead (Glastonbury 28/6/03), The Flaming Lips (Glastonbury 28/6/03), British Sea Power (Hove Old Market 1/10/03), Hope Of The States (London Astoria 26/10/04) and many, many more that escape me just now. It's everything I own - just 'cos I like to look at it. ;) Actually, I haven't updated this in millennia... really must get around to that when I have a spare year or two.
